Long Island Serial Killings
(Riverhead, NY) — We are learning more about how the alleged Gilgo Beach serial murderer Rex Heuermann spends his time behind bars in Riverhead. Jail officials say he is being held a 60-square-foot cell that has a toilet and sink . He is allowed to take out books from the jail library and look through newspapers. There is a television outside his jail cell that is controlled by guards. They say he likes to watch news show, seemingly more interested in newscasts that include stories about him. He has been visited by a chaplain, but his soon to be ex-wife and two kids have not seen him. The 60-year-old Heuermann has been charged in three of the Gilgo Beach murders and is the prime suspect in a fourth.
