(New York, NY) — An NYU law student has lost a job offer over their Israel-Hamas war comments. Ryna Workman, is a non binary student, who is president of the NYU Law School Bar Association. They published a statement in a school newsletter that said “Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life”. “This regime of state-sanctioned violence created the conditions that made resistance necessary, and I will not condemn Palestinian resistance.” A prominent law South Carolina law firm says it has rescinded Workman’s job offer due to the comments. Officials with NYU also criticized Workman’s comments and distanced NYU from the message.
