NEWARK,N.J –At least five people are hospitalized after a building collapsed in Newark.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. Friday evening at a building on South Pine Lane.
NJ ADVANCE MEDIA reporting 6 people hurt. Three people were taken to University Hospital, one was rushed to Clara Maass Medical Center and another was taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center with a serious burn.
People reportedly hearing an explosion before the collapse. The extent of the injuries not clear at this time.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
