(Quogue, NY)  ) — Four people, including two teenagers were bitten by sharks on Long Island beaches over the long holiday weekend. A man was bitten in the leg as he was swimming in Quogue, and another man was bitten on his hand at Fire Island Pines on Tuesday. On Monday, a 15-year-old boy, who was surfing, was bitten by a shark at Kismet Beach. A 15-year-old girl was bitten in the water by either a marine animal or a shark off Beach 3 at Robert Moses State Park on Monday afternoon.  None of the injuries are serious. Long Island lawmakers say they have intensified shark surveillance both in the air with drones and on the water to keep swimmers safe.
