NJ Seniors Focus of Property Tax Cut Plan

NEW JERSEY -New Jersey lawmakers and Governor Phil Murphy agreeing to a property tax cut plan for up to 65 hundred dollars for seniors 65 and older.

The plan known as STAYNJ, would basically cut property taxes in half for seniors.

Eligible home owners and renters would also see a 35 percent boost in relief through the ANCHOR Tax Program.

If signed into law, the plan would not go into effect until 2026 .
