NEW YORK, NY – A Manhattan grand jury has indicted Daniel Penny in the deadly subway choke hold of homeless man Jordan Neely.
Penny has been charged with second degree manslaughter in the incident which happened on the F train subway last month
Penny’s lawyers have said he acted in self-defense after Neely was allegedly yelling, screaming, and threatening other passengers.
The former marine could get up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He’s currently free on $100,000 dollars bail.
