NEW YORK (77WABC) — Police have arrested the 18-year-old boyfriend suspected of fatally stabbing his 16-year-old girlfriend at a Harlem apartment Sunday evening.
18-year-old Zyaire Crumbley was arrested around 9 pm Monday. Police say he faces a charge of murder in the death of 16-y ear-old Saniyah Lawrence, who lived on West 112th street in Harlem.
Police say Lawrence was pronounced dead at a hospital after cops were called to an apartment on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard on a report of a stabbing around 5:40 P.M. Sunday.
Police say the stabbing resulted from an argument although the details as to what led to the dispute are unclear at this time.
