NEW YORK (77WABC) — Things were getting a little heated at a campaign stop for New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin.
Zelden was shouted down by a group of protestors Friday at Pier 45 in Hudson River Park, where a jogger was raped earlier this week. One protestor yellied at him saying, “How dare you come into our neighborhood.”
Zeldin says these very same protestors are the ones who called for the NYPD to be defunded at a cost of $1 billion.
