(New York, NY) — The search is on for a subway rider who attacked a fellow straphanger with a butcher knife Wednesday night. Eyewitnesses say the attack took place after the two men got into some sort of dispute on a 2 train traveling through Manhattan. That’s when the wanted man pulled out the knife and sliced his victim in the leg and hand. A fellow rider than squirted the attacker with pepper spray. The suspect raced off the subway at the West 72nd Street stop. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Police have made no arrests.
