NY: New York City Mayor To Talk With White House Over Asylum Seekers
NEW YORK (77WABC) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams suggested he would bus New Yorkers down to Texas to campaign against Republican Governor Greg Abbott for the “good of America.”
The Mayor’s pledge is in response to Abbott’s busing of illegal immigrants from Texas to Democratic cities including the Big Apple in protest of the Biden administrations lax border policies. A second busload of illegal immigrants from Texas border towns arrived in New York City on Sunday as ordered by Abbott.
Over 1.8 million migrants have illegally crossed the border since October of 2021 a new record. Abbott has also been sending illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., since April to protest the Biden administration’s refusal to act on the border crisis plaguing Texas.
Adams’s comment about busing New Yorkers to Texas was widely mocked by conservatives on social media.
