Jacob deGrom looked great in his return last night striking out six over five innings pitched while only giving up one run. deGrom also touched 102 mph a couple of times and looked like himself, which was what Mets fans were looking forward to seeing on Tuesday night. If Jake continues to look like that and stays healthy for the stretch run along with Max Scherzer, teams will have a tough time beating the Mets in the postseason. However I think New York didn’t do enough regarding their bullpen at the trade deadline. They did get Mychal Givens who is a right handed reliever but I thought that they needed to add a lefty to solidify their bullpen. Even still I think that New York has one of if not the best rotations and lineups in baseball.
