A Brooklyn Man Arrested after Allegedly Stabbing his Grandfather to Death

Shirley, NY (77WABC)-Police say the 34-year-old grandson of an 80-year-old  Shirley man was arrested at the Shirley train station in connection with the stabbing death of his grandfather.

Suffolk County Police say the grandfather, John Pilgrim was stabbed to death at his home located at 134 Hounslow Road allegedly by his grandson Christopher Clarke at approximately 7:45 pm Monday night.

Clark fled the residence on foot and was located and arrested at the LIRR in Shirley at 9:41 pm. His grandfather  was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Homicide Squad detectives charged Clarke  of 601 2nd St. with Murder 2nd Degree. He is being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip later today.
