NEW YORK (77WABC) — Police have ID’d a suspected gang member as the shooter in Sunday’s random fatal shooting aboard a Manhattan bound “Q” train as it crossed the Manhattan bridge into the city.

Police say the suspect is identified as Andrew Abdullah — wanted for the unprovoked murder of Goldman Sachs employee Daniel Enriquez of Brooklyn. Cops say Abdullah has 11 prior arrests.

Witnesses told police the suspect paced back and forth in the train’s last car before displaying a firearm and shooting the 48-year-old Enriquez “without provocation.” Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs’ employees in New York say they are increasingly targets of violent crime during their commutes.

The shooter was seen on surveillance exiting the Canal Street Station. The alleged murder weapon had been recovered after Abdullah randomly handed the gun to a homeless man.

Anyone with information on him is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
