UNDATED (77-WABC)- Amazon taking steps to help employees–should the Supreme court repeal Roe v Wade legalizing abortion. Amazon telling staff that it would pay up to $4,000 dollars in travel expenses for non-life threatening medical treatments which include abortion.
In a company message —Amazon telling its employees the new work benefit would apply to an employee if an operation could not be done within 100 miles of their home. This applies for all corporate and warehouse employees or covered dependents enrolled in the company’s health plans.
Amazon’s benefit would kick into place in January of 2023.
