A woman slashed on midtown subway platform

NEW YORK, NEW YORK-(77WABC)- Police say a woman was slashed in the leg while standing on a midtown subway platform.

They say the 36-year-old woman was standing on a southbound M train platform at 34th street and Herald Square after 6 pm Monday night, when she was slashed in the leg –but its not clear what the attacker used to slash the victim.  She was taken to a local hospital where her injuries were described as non life threatening.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his 20’s, last seen wearing a jean jacket.
