MOUNT VERNON, -(77WABC)- Police responded to shots fired outside Mount Vernon High School on Monday afternoon.
News 12 the Bronx reports of shots fired coming in around 2:30 p.m.
Authorities say they found three shell casings, and the school was placed on lockdown.
No injuries have been reported.
After police arrived at the high school, more officers were called up to surrounding areas, as well as county and federal partners to aid in the investigation.
Dismissal happened after 3 p.m. and was said to be smooth.
