QB Tom Brady Makes it Official; Retiring After 22 Years in the NFL and Seven League Championships

(77WABC)-Number 12 has made it official. NFL Quarterback Tom Brady is hanging up his cleats for good. During his 22 year career in the NFL, Brady led teams to seven NFL Championships.

Brady made the announcement on his Twitter handle:

Brady won last year’s Big Game during his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. beating the Kansas City Chiefs 31 to 9.

The only other team he played for was the New England Patriots. He led the team to six world championships:

Brady’s official announcement followed widespread speculation over-the-weekend, as reported by ESPN, that he would in fact retire.
