NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- Lights on Broadway are beginning to flicker because of the rise in the number of cases of COVID 19.

Some of the Broadway shows closing, or cancelling performances, include the Tina Turner Musical, Harry Potter and the cursed child, and  Mrs. Doubtfire.

Producers say they are trying to follow Broadway’s vaccination and mask mandate regulations.

Broadway was completely dark at the height of the pandemic, suffering an incalculable  economic loss at the box office.
