(CLIFTON, NJ) (77WABC) – Its okay to drink the water again.
For nearly two months, residents in parts of Northern New Jersey have been boiling their water because the local reservoir was polluted after flooding from from hurricane Ida.
The Passaic Valley Water Commission giving the green light to lift the boil water advisory on Friday. Thousands of people have also been drinking bottled water during the advisory.
News 12 New Jersey reporting the water commission is working on a plan to prevent this from happening again, however officials say it will be a very costly project.
