Five Shot in Brooklyn Two Dead Two Critical and One Shooting Victim Stable

Bronx, NY (77WABC)-Police have identified two people killed when shots rang out in the Wortman Ave. area of Brooklyn early Sunday. 36-year-old Nicholas Palmer of 824 East 225th St. in the Bronx and 36-year-old Bailey Novada of 196-02 122nd Ave. in Queens were killed. Two others are in critical condition and a fifth shooting victim is in stable condition.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 12:33 am at 101 Wortman Avenue and multiple calls for persons shot nearby. Upon arrival, police found three people shot at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Wortman Avenue inside a vehicle. Two those of those victims died, and a 3rd person inside the vehicle is in critical condition The third person inside the vehicle is a 51-year-old man who was struck in his right forearm, upper back and chest. He was taken by EMS to Brookdale Hospital.
The two others found nearby, inside 101 Wortman Avenue, with gunshot wounds.  Police say a 37 year old man was taken by private mean to Montefiore Hospital located in New Rochelle, NY, where he is listed in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The 5th shooting victim, a 32-year-old man was struck  by gunfire in his chest and neck. He’s  in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital.
An investigation is ongoing. So far no arrests.
