Albany, NY (77WABC)-Despite being under federal and state investigation, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo plans to hold a pricy in-person fundraiser Tuesday, June 29th in NYC. Cuomo has not announced a bid for a 4th term as Governor.
The cost for attending the 6 pm event is $10,000 per person or $15,000 per couple. The e-invitation sent out by Cuomo campaign finance director Gita Tiku.
The 3-term Democratic Governor faces federal and state investigations into his administration’s alleged cover-up of nursing home death totals. The Governor is also under investigation by the state Attorney General’s office for alleged incidents of sexual harassment.
The state Assembly Judiciary Committee is also conducting an impeachment inquiry into the accusations, although the state legislature has adjourned for summer recess.
Cuomo has publicly denied accusations of sexual harassment. He has also repeatedly said he and his administration were following the recommendations of the CDC related to Covid19.
