New York, NY (77WABC)-A 26-year-old West Babylon man is charged with the murder of a Brooklyn man outside of the luxury Dream Hotel on West 16th Street in NYC. 25-year-old Byron Morales of 285 Lott Avenue was shot and killed during the early morning hours of Thursday, June 10th outside the hotel around 22 minutes after midnight.
He was rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital where he was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to his torso.
Charged with Morales’ murder is Robert Johnson of 18 Pitcher Street. In addition to the charge of murder, the NYPD says Johnson is also charged with assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
Police have not released a motive for the deadly shooting.
