FIREFATAL
Bronx, NY (77WABC)-Flames shot from the roof of an apartment building in the Bronx this morning as the fire quickly spread along the open cockloft area of the building located at 3211 Park Ave in the Melrose section. Officials say a 91-year-old woman has died of her injuries, an 80-year-old man is hospitalized in critical condition and a 54-year-old male is hospitalized in stable condition. Eight other people and one FDNY member were treated for minor injuries.

The fire broke out around 5 am quickly going to three alarms.

The fire has been declared under control. The cause is under investigation.
