The Vanderbilt Nursing home on Staten Island was referred to me by a number of our WABC listeners. I was there in a heavy downpour during shift change. You can see a number of the aides running to their vehicles, yet if you were a loved one or friend of an elderly person in lockdown at the Vanderbilt it would be very difficult to find out how they were.
If you ask the question as to whether there are coronavirus patients in the nursing home they will not answer it. Around the side of the Vanderbilt was this-
I’m assuming it was put up by one of the workers because no one was willing to talk inside.
