(New York, NY) – President Trump is returning to China, marking the first visit by a US President since his first trip to Beijing in 2017. Trump was originally planning on heading to China sometime in March or early April, however the meeting was delayed as the US entered into war with Iran. Trump landed in Beijing around 8 am Wednesday morning. He was greeted by a group on the tarmac waiving Chinese flags in one hand and American flags in the other. Before getting off the plane, Trump blasted reports regarding the roll call of private corporate leaders joining him on the international outing.
The Commander in Chief is being accompanied by known figures like Elon Musk and Apple’s Tim Cook, along with other industry leaders. Some of the topics Trump is expected to touch on include Taiwan, trade and artificial intelligence. However, Iran is also expected to be a big talking point as it was the reason behind Trump delaying this trip.
