(New York, NY) — Travel records could be broken this Memorial Day weekend. Triple A is forecasting 45 million Americans will hit the road between May 22nd and 26th. That would break the previous record set in 2005. More than 39 million people are expected to travel by car. Meanwhile, over three-and-a-half-million travelers are expected to get to their destination by plane, an almost two-percent increase from last year.

The weather wont be great for the first unofficial weekend of summer. Clouds and temps in the 60s are predicted across the Tri-State area.

Police in in Seaside Heights, New Jersey will begin enforcing a summer curfew for teenagers in the beach town this weekend. A number of Jersey shore towns are cracking down on parties that turned into disturbances in years past. In Seaside Heights, anyone under the age of 18 is banned from the street and the boardwalk between 10 p.m. and five a.m., no exceptions. They’re also instituting a ban on short-term rentals to anyone under the age of 21 between April 15th and June 30th.
