(Washington, D.C.) — A new stamp honoring the late former first lady Barbara Bush has been unveiled. Current first lady Melania Trump hosted the ceremony at the White House on May 8th. Bush would have turned 100 years-old in June.
Melania said about Bush, “While she is known for championing literacy, she also supported women’s empowerment, changed the national conversation on AIDS, and took a stand supporting gay rights.” The ceremony also included Bush’s youngest daughter, Doro Bush Koch.
