(New York, NY) — The Sean “Diddy” Combs sex crimes trial got underway Monday, May 5, 2025 with jury selection. The process will resume Tuesday as 19 jurors moving on to the next stage of questioning.
Combs is facing life in prison on a number of charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering in New York City. Prosecutors allege the star rapper threatened and coerced women for sex.
Defense lawyers are expected to argue that Combs had consensual relationships. He’s been behind bars in Brooklyn since his arrest in September. Combs recently rejected a plea deal.
