(New York, NY) – The Westminster Dog Show is returning to Manhattan. The 149th annual dog show will take place at Madison Square Garden from February 8th through the 11th. Some events will be held at the Javits Center, with the final day featuring Best in Show awarded at MSG . The dog show held its first event in 1877 at Gilmore’s Garden, which was officially renamed Madison Square Garden in 1879.
Before the Super Bowl, the 2025 Puppy Bowl takes place featuring Team Ruff taking on Team Fluff. There’s even a Kitty Halftime Show. This year’s festivities will feature pups from dozens of shelters and rescues competing for the Lombarky trophy. The whole idea, aside from serving up some cuteness, is to encourage viewers to consider adopting a dog in need of a home.
