President Trump hits the ground running

syndication-florida-today-33

Donald Trump, accompanied by family members Melania Trump and Barron Trump, enters his Election Night Watch Party at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

(Washington, D.C.)  —  President Trump took the oath of office at noon on Monday, and then got work on his agenda signing executive orders that end the right to citizenship by birth, force federal workers to go back to their offices, and give TikTok 75 more days to find an American buyer. The president also froze all government hiring.

Last night Trump signed an executive order pardoning roughly 15-hundred people convicted in the January 6th riots. He  also signed commutations of sentences for six defendants.

Today, President Trump and Vice President Vance are scheduled to attend the National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral. The service has been held the day after the inauguration since 1933. Leaders from across different faiths will offer prayers of thanksgiving for democracy and to seek God’s guidance. They’ll be joined by members of Congress, judges and other officials.
