Freddie Mercury comes in at number two, having made 250-million dollars this year. Number three is Dr. Seuss, who made 75-million dollars in 2024. Rounding out the top five are Elvis Presley, who made another 50-million dollars this year, and Ric Ocasek, songwriter for The Cars, who made 45-million dollars.
“Friends” star Matthew Perry is one of the dead TV stars to make the list. He made 18 million dollars in royalties from the hit sitcom, which continues to be shown in reruns all over the world. Golfing legend Arnold Palmer’s family continues to take in millions from his popular beverage, the Arnold Palmer. It’s a mix of lemonade and iced tea. The drink generates around 300 million in profits every year, putting Palmer 12th on the 2024 list of the richest dead celebrities.
