(New York, NY) –NYPD cops are looking for two men who used sledgehammers to smash through the window of a Chanel store in Midtown Sunday, and steal a slew of pricey handbags. Cops say they have pictures of the two who broke into the store on East 64th Street and Madison Avenue around 7 p.m. Police did not detail how much the handbags stolen are worth.
Neighbors near the store say this kind of thing seems to be happening to often. They say they are happy the break in took place after hours, so no workers were hurt.
Last night workers could be seen cleaning up shards of glass that littered the sidewalk.
