(Oakland, CA) — The Athletics played their final home game in Oakland on Thursday.  The team will be playing games in Sacramento next season as they get ready to make a final move to Las Vegas. After the final out was recorded, A’s manager Mark Kotsay addressed a sellout crowd of nearly 47-thousand at the Oakland Coliseum. He thanked them for their support over the years. The team has been in Oakland since 1968, winning four World Series titles during that time

Next year, the A’s will move to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, the home of the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats. That will be their temporary home, before their planned move to Las Vegas ahead of the 2028 season.
