Israeli Prime Minister Visits NYC

news-netanyahu-addresses-congress-2

(New York, NY) — The NYPD is bracing for more protests as the Israeli Prime Minister prepares to arrive in New York City Thursday (September 25). Traffic around the United Nations is expected to be especially brutal this week as protesters will gather outside to make their voices heard.

Nearly three dozen people were arrested during a pro-Palestinian protest in Herald Square on Tuesday and authorities are expecting more chaos with the arrival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Both Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are scheduled to speak Thursday.

Since Hamas first attacked Israel on October 7th, New York City has been a hotbed for pro-Palestinian demonstrations and college encampments, along with pro-Israeli rallies calling for hostages to be released.
