(Undated) — A new report says the U.S. spends the most and delivers the least when it comes to healthcare. Healthcare think-tank The Commonwealth Fund conducted its annual survey of ten developed countries and the U.S. ranked in the bottom two in four of five categories. The U.S. was last in Access To Care and Health Outcomes, and next-to-last in Administrative Efficiency and Equity. U.S. had its best showing in Care Process, finishing second behind New Zealand.
Australia had the top overall ranking, despite placing ninth in Access To Care. The Netherlands, United Kingdom, New Zealand and France rounded out the top five. Also finishing ahead of the U.S. were Sweden in sixth place, followed by Canada, Switzerland and Germany.
