(Washington, D.C) – Republican nominee for Vice President, JD Vance appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and discussed their abortion policy. The Ohio Senator said that if re-elected, Trump would not push for a national ban on abortion, despite the policy being part of the Republican Party’s platform since 1984. Vance even said that Trump would veto any legislation seeking to implement a ban across the country.

Going further, Vance said that the federal government should worry about the economy and immigration, and leave the decision on abortion to different states. Trump has previously applauded the overturn of Roe v Wade, however has mentioned he does not seek a federal ban against abortion.
