(Queens, New York) – The NYPD says one of their highly criticized drones helped capture three suspects who terrorized a Queens family of 7 in their own home over the weekend. Emergency dispatchers received a call from a home in the Douglaston section of borough early Saturday after the home invaders held up the family with guns and hammers. The three suspects escaped through a window in the house with cash they had stolen from the family.
The NYPD put up drones in the air to search for the three wanted men. A short time later one drone camera identified the three. Cops raced in to arrest them.
Two adults in the home who were injured, are expected to make a full recovery.
