(Washington, D.C) – Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign raised over $80 million in the first 24 hours after she announced she was running for the Democratic nomination for President. Team Harris says it was the largest amount of money raised in a 24-hour span in presidential history. The campaign said she brought in over $100 million over first two days of her last minute campaign. The total came from more than 1.1 million unique donors, with 62% being first-time donors.
Earlier this year, former President Donald Trump raised a record $50.5 million at a closed-door Mar-A-Lago dinner where he sold seats in support of his campaign.
