(New York, New York) – A string of shootings involving migrants Sunday night left 2 dead, and 1 in critical condition near a migrant shelter in Brooklyn. The shooting incidents were minutes apart. The first was around 10:44pm, when a man in his 30’s was shot in the arm and chest. He later passed away. 7 minutes later, two men were shot outside the shelter about a quarter of mile from the first gunfire incident A 47-year-old man was shot dead, another man in his 30’s is in critical condition. Law enforcement sources say all the shootings appear to be connected, and all of the victims are migrants. The shelter on Ryerson Street was opened by the city in April and was set up to house as many as 765 single adult migrants. No word on a motive for the gunfire.
