(Sidney, Australia) – Comedians Jack Black and Kyle Gass are facing calls of deportation after making a tasteless joke about the Trump assassination attempt while on tour in Australia. A clip of the joke was released showing Black saying “Make a wish” to Gass, who before blowing out the candles says, “Don’t miss Trump next time” to laughter and applause from the Sydney crowd.

The leader of the United Australia Party, Senator Ralph Babet took to X saying “Anything less than a deportation is an endorsement of the shooting and the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump.” The duo, known as Tenacious D still has tour dates ahead of them, it’s unclear if those shows will move forward as their next show in Newcastle has already been postponed.

Black explained in an interview with USA Today that he was blindsided by Gass’ response and he will no longer continue touring with Gass. Black says, “I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form,” …. “After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold. I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”
