(Brooklyn, New York) – Skaters across the globe met up this past Friday in Brooklyn to celebrate the annual international Go Skateboarding Day! The afternoon of events was hosted at Brooklyn Banks skatepark by Gotham Park with the help of The Skatepark Project and Vans giving the community a day filled with music, refreshments and skating.
The event brought together skaters from all around the U.S including some from Illinois, California and even some from other countries! Steve Rodriguez is a co-founder of Gotham Parks and ran the event and handed out cash prizes to those who landed their tricks.
The event gave residents in the community a small glimpse into the colorful world of skating as hundreds of people gathered at the park to watch and enjoy the beautiful day.
