(Amsterdam) – Rapper and Queens native, Nicki Minaj, was arrested for a brief moment in Amsterdam after officials say they found “soft drugs” in her luggage. Minaj live streamed the event on Instagram where she explained that officers found marijuana in her bags and the quantity would have to be weighed.
The Dutch national police posted on social media confirming the arrest of a 41-year-old American woman over charges of possible exporting of drugs; they did not name the rapper. Netherlands authorities also disclosed that she was since released after local prosecutors imposed a fine of 350 euros, or $380, for the charges.
Minaj was on her way to Manchester to perform a stop on her “Pink Friday 2” Tour, however that had to be postponed. Minaj claims that the arrest was an attempt to sabotage her international tour.
