(New York, New York) – NYPD cops teared up as they responded to a call of a mini-poodle being thrown off a ledge. NYPD officer Kelsey Garcia rushed to the scene to pick up the hurt pooch, while in tears. Cleopatra Morgan, Rockets owner, told police she threw her 1-year-old dog off the ledge of her building at Edgecombe Avenue after she “snapped”. She then called 911 to confess around 1:30 pm last week. After retrieving the dog, Officer Garcia hopped into her police cruiser with two other officers and they hit the road to get the dog some help. The ASPCA says when Rocket arrived he was in critical condition. They say, there are signs of traumatic brain damage.
Cleopatra was arrested on the scene and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, torturing, injuring or not feeding an animal, criminal possession of a weapon and false personation, NYPD says.
