(New York, NY) — Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is set to testify this week at the so called hush money trial. Donald Trump is accused of falsifying business records to hide a hush money payment that Cohen made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The New York judge presiding over the trial has been telling Cohen to stop talking about the case. Judge Juan Merchan issued a warning on Friday after Donald Trump’s legal team brought up recent statements by Cohen, who went on TikTok last week wearing a T-shirt that appeared to show Trump behind bars.

Trump’s lawyers tried to get the judge to lift the gag order so Trump could respond to Stormy Daniels’ allegations, but the judge denied the request. On Friday, there were signs that the jury might start deliberating soon. The prosecution told the judge they plan to call two more witnesses, and could rest their case by the end of this week.
