(New York, NY) — NYPD cops are searching for four men, who rode through the Bronx last night on scooters and shot up a crowded street corner. A 29-year-old hit by the gunfire in Mount Eden has passed away. Three others are nursing bullet wounds to their legs. Police say four men rode on two scooters down Mount Eden Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Eyewitnesses say the men on the back of the bikes pulled out guns and fired 10 rounds at the victims. The wanted men, who wore masks and hoodies may have escaped onto the Cross Bronx Expressway. Police are investigating if the shooting was targeted or gang related.
A short time later, a 34-year-old on a scooter was killed in the Bronx when he crashed after driving down a one way street in the wrong direction. Police say the scooter driver took off after they tried to pull him over. He crashed into an SUV, a parked vehicle, and a light pole. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Jacobi Hospital. There is no word why police were trying to pull him over.
