(Glendale, AZ) — UConn is celebrating a second straight NCAA men’s basketball championship after blowing out Purdue 75-60 in the title game Monday night. Tristen Newton led the Huskies with 20 points as the team rode a six-point lead into the half and never looked back. UConn is the first program to repeat since Florida in 2007 and now has six NCAA Tournament championships. The Huskies officially end the season 37-and-3. Zach Edey led all scorers with 37 points for Purdue.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has won a friendly NCAA final bet with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb. Lamont’s win brings him Triple X root beer, sugar cream pie and a pork tenderloin from the Harry’s Chocolate Shop restaurant. The governor had offered a similar package from Connecticut, which consisted of pizza, beer from Athletic Brewing Company and Munson’s chocolates.
