(New York, NY) — New York Jet quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and former professional wrestler and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, have reportedly been in talks with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his vice-presidential candidate this Fall. The two are said to be on the third party candidates short list of people he thinks can help him win.

On Tuesday, it was reported Kennedy has been in serious talks with Rodgers, who reportedly is open to the idea. The 40-year-old quarterback has never run for office. Ventura was governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. The 72-year-old won in Minnesota as an independent candidate.

A representative for Rodgers, who is set to play for the Jets this Fall did not comment on the talk of a run for office. Jesse Ventura’s son says no one has spoken to his dad about being on RFK Jr.’s ticket.
