(Santa Fe, N.M.) — “Rust” movie armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins was killed when the prop gun held by actor Alec Baldwin fired a live round. Earlier this week, a state workplace safety investigator testified that Gutierrez-Reed was not given enough time to perform her duties and management had no policies that prevented real bullets from getting mixed in. Gutierrez-Reed was acquitted of tampering with evidence, with the involuntary manslaughter charge carrying a maximum of 18 months in prison. Baldwin’s trial is set for July.
