(New York, NY) — Everyday New Yorkers lined up to give their two cents on the MTA’s congestion pricing plan at a public hearing Thursday. Most who showed up say they believe it’s done deal, and nothing will stop the MTA from instituting it’s new toll on drivers. 120 people were given a chance to speak before MTA board members. About half of them told the board they were happy about congestion pricing, and how it could ease traffic in Manhattan and help the MTA with bus and subway projects.

The MTA says it already has the system in place to charge drivers 15 dollars to drive below 60th Street in Manhattan. There are a number of lawsuits that hope to stop the MTA in it’s tracks. It’s not clear if any will. MTA leaders had hoped to begin congestion pricing in April, but now say it may not begin until June.
