(Babylon, NY) — Two human arms and a leg were found Thursday morning near a Suffolk County, Long Island Park. Police investigators say some young students walking to school made the grisly discovery in a wooded area of Southards Pond Park shortly before 9 a.m. Police believe the arm, which they say had a tattoo, wasn’t there very long. Investigators also found a leg about a mile away in the park under some brush. The park was closed while police conducted an investigation.
Police say the arm’s finger tips were missing. A K-9 found the leg under some leaves about a mile away in the same park. The Medical Examiner will now try to ID the body. Police will try to figure out what happened to the man.
